Officials at the Pakistan cricket authority are rumoured to be working on a plan to begin the traditional Boxing Day test match a day early.
Looking to take an early advantage in what is expected to be a tough series for the tourists, chiefs for the visiting team have this this as a golden opportunity to seize the initiative in the match.
“We’re hoping to win the toss” said captain Misbah-ul-Haq. “Batting first in these conditions will be crucial if we’re too stamp our authority on the game”, he explained.
Team management will know that a wrong call will play heavily against their strategy but, given a string of losses in recent years, it seems it’s a risk they’re prepared to take.
No official statement has yet been release from the governing body for fear of giving the game aware to the Aussies, however tickets are rumoured to be appearing on black market sites for this unprecedented event.
