Management at the F.A. have decided it’s best to award England Manager with a long service recognition medal now in order to avoid any complications following the inevitable early departure from the role.
With a string of managers finding the exit door prematurely in the past few years, football’s governing body feel this decision will provide much needed stability at a difficult time for the team.
“We’re all confident Gareth will be long gone before the next major tournament comes to an end, so this seemed like a great solution” said Chief Glenn.
Football supporters groups and senior players are thought to welcome the move.
